Browney Lane, Meadowfield – The Browney Lane scheme at Meadowfield, in Durham, included the construction of roads and sewers to the Phase 1 build area for client Avant Homes.

Scope of works:
AM&G Construction undertook all aspects of the works including the installation of all drainage (150 – 900mm pipe diameter), the formation of a SUDS pond with overflow protection (including headwalls and hydrobrake), sewer connections to adoptable standards, and all macadam surfacing works.

Works were also undertaken to create the new adoptable site entrance (Section 278 Works). This consisted of widening the existing carriageway to form a safe access ‘ghost lane’ as well as associated works relating to drainage, signage, and service alterations.

Work started in January 2015 and was completed in October 2015.
